First House in a Settlement (1926) by Swiss-German modernist Paul Klee reduces a small house and its surroundings to intersecting planes, lines and muted colour fields. Quiet geometry gives the artwork a thoughtful presence that suits calm, design-led interiors. The original is held by Kunstmuseum Basel.
